I started my role in Accountancy a few years ago, initially as an apprentice and gained invaluable experience working for various departments. My work included managing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, as well as preparing tax compliance tasks such as VAT and corporation tax returns. My journey led me to the audit department, where I found my niche and have continued to grow my career at Rayner Essex.

In my current role in the audit department, my work involves engaging with various client audit projects. My responsibilities include completing and reviewing client work, and overseeing team members to ensure their on-the-job training and development. I take pride in maintaining high-quality communications with clients, managers, and partners, which enhances the preparation of company tax returns and financial statements and strengthens relationships with both my team and our clients.

I am currently working towards my ACCA qualification to become a fully qualified accountant, continually setting and achieving my professional goals.

Outside of my work, I’m passionate about swimming, and I’m an active member of a local club, where I am getting ready to compete in this year’s annual gala, something I haven’t done for some time. I also like living life in the fast lane, taking part in adrenaline pumping experiences from time to time – I hold a motorbike license, have raced around several tracks, taken flying lessons, and experienced both skydiving out of a plane and indoor skydiving, embracing the thrill of high-speed adventures.
