Amy Longden
Supervisor
“I frequently conduct on-site audits which not only helps the audit process run smoothly, but also strengthens the relationships I have with my clients. I get satisfaction in assisting clients throughout their audit and ensuring it is as enjoyable as possible. ”
I began my career in audit in 2019 as an AAT accounts apprentice and joined Rayner Essex in 2021 where I progressed onto the ICAEW qualification.
As Audit Supervisor, one of my main responsibilities is mentoring our graduate trainees as they progress from juniors to conducting their own audits. I also assist them with their training requirements and aid them in developing the necessary skills for a successful career in audit.
My role also involves leading SME and large company audits from a variety of industry sectors. I frequently conduct on-site audits which not only helps the audit process run smoothly, but also strengthens the relationships I have with my clients. I get satisfaction in assisting clients throughout their audit and ensuring it is as enjoyable as possible.
I am also a member of the firm’s social committee where I am responsible for organising social events for both our London and St Albans office. My favourite event has to be our annual Summer Party!
During my free time, I enjoy discovering new places in London, as I am originally from Yorkshire. I am always looking for new places to explore in the city. When I am not in London, I like to spend time with my family and friends from my hometown. I also like to relax by going to the gym or taking long walks along the Thames or in the Yorkshire countryside (with a stop for a glass of prosecco at the local pub along the way!).
