Alex Hudson

I qualified as an ACA Chartered Accountant in 2025, having started my accountancy career with a firm in Yorkshire. I later made the move to London and joined Rayner Essex, where I have continued to build my experience within the Accounting Solutions team.

My experience as a Senior Accountant and now Supervisor has given me a broad understanding of the accounting and reporting needs of businesses. I enjoy getting to know our clients, understanding how their businesses operate and helping them find practical solutions to their accounting needs.

No two days are quite the same. I work with a wide range of businesses, preparing year-end statutory accounts, management accounts, self-employed accounts and VAT returns. Being part of our Accounting Solutions team also gives me the opportunity to work closely with clients throughout the year, providing clear and reliable financial information to help them manage their business.

Since being promoted to Supervisor at Rayner Essex, I have also taken on greater responsibility for training and developing junior members of the team. I really enjoy sharing the knowledge I have gained throughout my career and helping colleagues build their own skills and experience. Having benefited from the same encouragement and support during my own development at Rayner Essex, it is particularly rewarding to now be able to pass that on to others.

Outside of work, I enjoy all kinds of sport, particularly football and golf. When I’m not playing or watching sport, I can often be found at my local enjoying a nice pint of Guinness.
