“Having a happy team really does drive performance and enhance client relationships”.
I joined Rayner Essex in 2008, having commenced my career as a placement student and then returning as a graduate in the Audit department, going on to qualify with the ICAEW as a Chartered Accountant within the firm.
As Partner and Head of Audit, I have overall responsibility for the firms ACA graduate training programme and I’m currently the President of the ICAEW Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire District Society.
As a general practitioner with extensive experience in working with various clients ranging from start ups to SME’s and large corporations from all industry sectors, my main aim is to transform audit to a pleasurable and meaningful experience for both clients and our team alike.
I am an advocate for mental health and wellbeing and my main focus whilst managing a team is to create a happy working environment, where people can feel comfortable and authentic. I strongly believe that having a motivated team really does drive performance and is a leading factor in Rayner Essex providing excellent customer service.
Outside of work I can be found either at the gym, socialising with friends or simply chilling out with a good box set.

Testimonial
As an overseas subsidiary managed in the distance from Spain, Rayner Essex has always been our lighthouse in the UK. Offering a wide range of business-related services, they have always provided a flexible, reliable and cost effective service. Always up-to-date with the latest changes in the regulations (not just accounting wise but also making sure to be compliant with HMRC) , anticipating and advising us ahead of these changes in the best possible way, so we can adapt quickly and forecast any impacts in the business. They truly make managing a company in the distance much easier. Manuel Almagro
