We are excited to announce the speaker of our upcoming SportsAid Lunch at the Old Albanian Sports Club, on Friday 10th May 2024, at 12.30pm.

The guest speaker will be former Olympic gymnast Louis Smith MBE. Louis received a bronze and two silver medals on the pommel horse at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and London Olympics in 2012, as well as the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Louis also won numerous other medals in World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, European Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships, London Olympics, and Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Louis was also appointed Member of Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2013 New Year Honours for his services in gymnastics.

Beyond the Olympics and his gymnastics career, Louis has many notable interests including singing, where he auditioned for the X Factor in 2008, and in 2018 where he starred in the London Palladium show Rip it Up the 60s, as well as the Jump in 2017. Louis also took part in the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2012.
