SportsAid Lunch guest Amy Platten (Judo) granted SportsAid award
Wednesday 10th May 2017
Last Friday at SportsAid’s biannual lunch, Judoist Amy Platten (16) received an award from SportsAid to help fund her immediate preparations for the upcoming European Championships.
The award is vital for young athletes, helping cover the costs of travel and training equipment needed for their sports. The SportsAid award will also be important for Amy’s transition into a new weight/age group after the summer.
SportsAid Lunch, hosted by Rayner Essex, Sherrards Solicitors, Clydesdale Bank, Lumin Wealth, Old Albanians, Conical and Gallagher & Associates gave Amy the opportunity to talk about her progress with her Judo training and receive the award from Roger Fennemore of SportsAid.
This is the second SportsAid Lunch that Amy has attended, having also received an award from SportsAid in November 2016.
