Nicola Thurston

I am a Chartered Member of the CIPD and work as HR Manager providing Rayner Essex with support across all elements of HR.  Although I have worked in HR for many years, the great thing about working with people is that every day is different.

My role at Rayner Essex is exceedingly varied and involves finding great employees to join the firm and then supporting them to achieve their full potential.   I enjoy building successful happy teams and working in partnership with employees, managers, directors and partners to achieve this goal.

I am married with two children and when I am not working, I provide a regular ‘mum taxi service’ to my children which keeps me very busy!  I enjoy keeping fit by running, which I use as an excuse to enjoy chocolate whenever possible!  I also love the great outdoors and am happiest in a forest, on a beach, or at the top of a mountain.   

I am a big believer that people make a successful business, and it is therefore important to understand the aspirations and motivations of each individual employees so they can grow as a part of the Rayner Essex family.
