For over twenty years I have been working for Rayner Essex within Accounting Solutions. In that time I have seen many changes and now as Director of the St Albans Accounting Solutions team I am proud that we have a highly skilled and experienced team of nearly 30 individuals all on hand to support our clients.

The Accounting Solutions teams both in St Albans and London support small and medium sized businesses in managing all their everyday accounting needs. You can read about the services we provide here. In essence we are a fully outsourced finance team for those businesses that don’t have that resource in house and provide everything from daily bookkeeping to finance director responsibilities. Of course it’s not  just about carrying out the work for our clients, sometimes we help our clients in understanding how keep their accounts themselves and show them how to interpret the figures and what that means for their business.

Running such a diverse team is incredibly rewarding, I especially enjoy working with our apprentices, graduates and trainees and overseeing the development of their careers within this challenging profession, after all that’s how I started!

I have a busy family life outside of Rayner Essex. Two teenagers keep me on my toes and ensure I’m either providing meals, taxi services or cheering them on in their sporting endeavour. Me time? What’s that? Given the luxury of some time for myself you might find me gardening and then enjoying that space with a good book and glass of wine.
