We are very excited to announce that Commonwealth Gold winning England Captain Ama Agbeze will be joining our Bloomsbury Lunch Club. Ama will be sharing with us the experience of playing at the highest international level and the determination and commitment that enabled the team to clinch gold in what was voted the ‘The Greatest Sporting moment of 2018’ at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards. With the forthcoming Netball World Cup in July and taking place in Liverpool it’s perfect timing to bring this sport to Bloomsbury.

Ama Agbeze has been dubbed ‘a marvel of the modern netball world, having played in Australia, New Zealand and England, for three different ANZ Championship teams and across five positions on the court’. Agile and adept, the experienced defender currently plies her trade for London Pulse, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the Vitality Netball Superleague newcomers. She made her international debut in 2001 and has won 100 caps to date, including representing her country at three Commonwealth Games and two World Cups. A great orator and motivator, Ama was named England captain in 2016 and led the Vitality Roses to their historic gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was deservedly inducted into the England Netball Hall of Fame in testament to her contribution to netball in England.
Ama is also a qualified lawyer.

Ama will be joined by Gabby Marshall a member of the England Roses Senior Squad, Halimat Adio in the U21 England Futures – Roses Programme and Suzie Liversidge who at just 17 has recently moved into the U19 England Squad. A group which demonstrates the development stages, depth of talent and pathway to international success.

Netball in the UK has seen a massive resurgence in recent times. Having always been the most participated in sport for women and girls across the nation it is finally getting real recognition in the media.

Along with demonstrating this exciting sport, Bloomsbury Lunch Club offers a fantastic opportunity to network with other like-minded business leaders as well as a chance to win fabulous prizes in our raffle. All of the money raised on the day goes directly to SportsAid to support two young SportsAid athletes.

To book your place please complete the form below and we look forward to welcoming you on 1st March 2019.
